RACE FORMAT

Qualifying

Qualifying sessions are contested using dedicated LeCont Yellow Sport tires, which feature the Super Soft Compound specifically provided for the Shifter Trophy category. Each driver completes a single out lap to warm up and prepare their vehicle, followed by two timed laps that determine their qualifying position. To ensure safety and fairness, there is a strict limit of no more than two drivers on the track simultaneously during their flying laps.
Spectators have the opportunity to follow all the action live, with the added excitement of onboard footage displayed prominently on the Fanatic Sports video wall. This setup allows every qualifying lap to be fully visible and engaging for the audience, enhancing the overall experience of the event.

Heat Battles

Three Heats – Tactical Racing at Its Best
Each event features three heats, designed to reward speed, consistency, and racecraft.

  • Heat 1:
Grid positions are based on the qualifying results.
Driven on LeCont Purple Sport (Medium) tires.
  • Heat 2 (Reverse Grid):
The starting grid is reversed based on the finishing order of Heat 1, creating intense battles and overtaking opportunities.
Driven on LeCont Yellow Sport tires.
  • Heat 3:
The starting grid is determined by the finishing order of Heat 1.
Driven on LeCont Purple Sport (Medium) tires.

Each driver has access to one set of Super Soft tires and one set of Medium tires per event.
All heats are run over a race distance of 12 km.

A points system across all three heats determines the starting grid for the final race.

Final Showdown – The Final Race

The starting grid for the final race is determined by the points accumulated across all three heats.
Only the best drivers qualify for the final, where everything comes together in one decisive race.

The final is contested over a longer race distance, demanding precision, consistency, and racecraft under pressure.
Positions are fought out wheel-to-wheel, and the winner of the final is crowned overall event winner.
